Missing black girls in DC causes viral outcry and awareness on social media. DC police have tweeted out several missing black teens within the district. On march, 19, 2017  a viral post sparked outrage on social media and in the United States capitol. The DC police are being called on to take action about the missing black girls in DC. The DC police say the rate of missing black girls in DC is sadly normal. The police department says most of the time it’s teen girls who run away from home and soon return. Although there are 37 minor cases still open of missing black/ Hispanic girls. I believe people on social media are putting false information out there that is sparking viral outrage. The number of missing black teens are sadly normal and typically the girls run away from home and return.
